If you are LGBTQIA+ and you were interested in the Queer Music scene in the U.S. during the 90s and early 2000s, you have probably heard of Doug Stevens & The Outband.

His first version of the Outband was in New York City. He made his first 2 albums there, Out in the Country, and When Love is Right.

The fabulous, beautiful, Dori Rhodes, bass player and superb songwriter!
Later, he moved to San Francisco and formed another version of the band. At San Francisco, he made 2 more recordings, however only one album was released, From Christopher to Castro.

In 2004, Doug and his well known friend, Patrick Haggerty teamed up with some Outband members, Mary Burnley, Mark Newstetter, and Calvin (fiddle player) to record, At the Dry Creek Grange Hall.

After that, Doug’s life began falling apart in various ways, so they never released the 4th album…. until now.
